This piece of ash has been in my shop for a few weeks now, and it is time for it to find a new home. It is already stabilized with Brazilian cherry and has a nice surface. This week, it will become a coffee table or bench.

How wild is this? BernerWorks picked up a whole mess of spalted wood from the Urban Tree Forge. It is all rough cut to 2" square, but I am going to find some really neat things to turn this into. I am really excited about this material. Just look at it!

Who did not love blocks as a kid? Exactly. When this project is done, I picture a hundred piece set with all the frills. Architectural and organic pieces, wood inlays, and a beautiful yet baby safe finish will be ready to go in a custom made canvas bag.

Though it is not my normal style, this live edge cherry shelf will definitely turn some heads. I am still playing around with the final design, so be sure to check out BernerWorks.com for the finished product.
